User management

User accounts

Remmy supports multiple user accounts so your entire IT team can access the platform. Each user has their own login credentials, role, and activity log.

To create a new user, go to Settings > Users > Add User. Enter their name, email, and choose a role. They'll receive an email invitation to set their password and log in.

Roles and permissions

Remmy includes built-in roles to control what each user can access:

  • Admin - Full access to all features, settings, and user management.
  • Technician - Can manage devices, run scripts, use remote access, and manage patching. Cannot modify server settings or manage users.
  • Viewer - Read-only access to dashboards, device info, and reports. Cannot make changes or run commands.

Roles are assigned per user and can be changed at any time from the user's profile.

Activity log

Every action taken in Remmy is logged with the user who performed it, the action taken, and a timestamp. You can view the full activity log from Settings > Activity Log.

The activity log is useful for auditing who made changes, tracking down issues, and maintaining compliance records. Logs can be filtered by user, action type, and date range.

Password and security

Users can change their own password from their profile page. Admins can also reset any user's password from the Users list.

Remmy enforces minimum password requirements: at least 8 characters with a mix of letters and numbers. Sessions expire after the configured timeout period (default is 24 hours).
